Class of 2021,
We are nearing the end of the 2020-2021 school year, and graduation is right around the corner. First and foremost, the Taft staff would like to thank all of the seniors for making the commitment to finishing strong. The past year has put many hardships on all of us, but it is now time to celebrate! The Taft staff, students, and district office are finishing the planning and preparation for an epic senior send off and wonderful graduation ceremony. Below you will find a timeline of events and plans for graduation. Please mark your calendars.
SENIOR DATES TO REMEMBER:
- June 1st to June 4th: Complete any assignments, tasks, projects, and assessments
- Thursday, June 3rd: Senior Awards Night – 6:00pm online
- Join Zoom Link – https://zoom.us/j/95577796895
- Monday, June 7th: Senior Finals
- Edmentum Students’ Last Day to finish courses
- Tuesday, June 8th: Senior Finals and Check-out
- Senior Check-Out must be completed in order to graduate

- At Taft 7-12 from 9:00 am to 3:00pm
- Return all LCSD materials, Chromebook, calculators, and books
- Pay all fees
- Return any athletic equipment

- Wednesday, June 9th: Epic Senior Send off!! Please complete form in Class of 2021

- 12:00 PM: Senior Parade – Start at Dollar Tree Parking lot.
- 1:00 PM: Act of Service, Time Capsule, Senior Plaque Signing
- 7:30 PM: Beach Picnic, Games, and Senior Sunset

- Thursday, June 10th: Last Day of School, Final Check-out Day
- Friday, June 11th: Graduation Practice

- 9:00 am – All graduates must be present for practice if they want to walk in the ceremony
- Senior Lunch

- Saturday, June 12th: GRADUATION

- Location: Taft High School Stadium
- Start time 11:21 AM
- Depending on the county metrics, all seniors will get a designated amount of tickets for guests. The number of tickets will be passed out no later than June 1st. If the county is in Low – 4 Tickets, Moderate – 4 Tickets, High – 2 Tickets. The graduation will also be streaming live for all guests that cannot attend.
