Class of 2025,

The 2024-25 school year is flying by, and graduation is almost here! We are so proud of all our Seniors for their dedication and hard work throughout this journey. The Taft staff and students are gearing up for an unforgettable Senior Send-Off and a spectacular Graduation Ceremony! Below, you’ll find the timeline of events and all the exciting plans we’ve got in store. Be sure to mark your calendars – you won’t want to miss a thing!

• Thursday, April 24th: Cap & Gown Pictures in the Taft High Library at 9:00 AM (Cap & Gown is provided for the picture)

• • May 27th to June 2nd: Senior Finals – Complete all assignments, projects, and assessments
  • Thursday, May 29th: Senior Finals  
    • SENIOR PICTURES for SLIDE SHOW-Last day to Submit
  • CHANGE (New Date): Monday, June 2nd: Senior Finals & Senior Awards Night at Taft 7-12 at 6:30pm
    • Cap and Gown Parade permissions slips must be submitted to office by End of day
  • Tuesday, June 3rd: Senior Finals & Senior Check-Out at Taft 7-12 – 9:00am to 3:00pm
    • Moving Up Ceremony 
    • Check-out form must be completed and turned into the counseling center in order to attend the Senior Send-Off, walk at graduation and receive your diploma.
      • Return all LCSD materials, chromebooks, calculators, and books
      • Pay all fees – See Kelly Linfoot (Make Checks Payable to “Taft 7-12”)
      • Return any athletic equipment
      • Edgenuity Students’ Last Day of work submission
      • Senior Send-Off permissions slips must be submitted to the office by noon
  • Wednesday, June 4th: Cap & Gown Parade at Taft Elementary & Oceanlake Elementary
    • TO ATTEND: Permission slips must have been received by June 2nd
    • Seniors Last Day of School: Last Chance check-out at Taft 7-12 – 9:00- 12:00
    • Senior Tea-Location TBD at 1:30PM
  • Thursday, June 5th: Senior Send-Off! Bus leaves Taft 7-12 at 8:30
    • TO ATTEND:
      • Senior check-out must be completed and submitted to the counseling center by June 3rd
      • Permission slips must have been received by June 2nd 
      • Seniors must have no outstanding suspensions, fines, and be ready to walk at graduation 
  • Friday, June 6th: Graduation Practice
    • 8:00 am – Senior Breakfast 
    • 9:00 am – Graduation Practice: All graduates must be present for practice if they want to walk in the ceremony
    • Senior Lunch

• Saturday, June 7th: GRADUATION – 6 Tickets per Graduate handed out on May 16th, 2025
