    • The reason for the absence.
    • Your student’s last name (please spell it out).

You can also email general attendance information to: tafthighoffice@lincoln.k12.or.us

Reporting Medical Appointments

If your student has a medical appointment, please notify us in advance using one of the methods above.

  • Doctor’s Note: If possible, obtain a doctor’s note and have your student deliver it to the front desk or Mrs. Coggin’s in-tray (located in the Counseling Center) upon returning. Alternatively, take a picture of the note and email it to Melissa.Coggin@lincoln.k12.or.us.

For Students: Check Your Attendance Regularly

It is your responsibility to monitor your attendance in StudentVue.

If you notice an error in your attendance (e.g., marked absent with codes U, UN, or T, but you were present):

  • Scheduled Teacher: Speak to or email your teacher directly to request a correction.
  • Substitute Teacher: If a substitute was present, notify your regular teacher to address the error. They will determine if the absence should be removed.
  • Wrong Class: If you attended a different teacher’s class, inform that teacher upon arrival. They must email Attendance to confirm your presence.

Parents: You can also contact the teacher directly via ParentVue for assistance.

Important Notes

  • Absences or skipping classes may result in disciplinary actions.
  • Always notify us of absences by 7:30 AM whenever possible.
