Important Updates for Taft Families

As we wrap up the first semester and transition into the second semester, here’s some key information to keep you and your student on track:

Key Dates:

• No School: January 20
• Finals Week: January 21–24
• End of First Semester: January 24
• No School (Teacher Records Day): January 27
• Grades Finalized & Mailed Home: No later than January 31

Preparing for Finals Week

Next week, students will be completing projects, papers, speeches, and taking finals. Here are some ways you can help your student succeed:

• Ensure they get 8 hours of sleep each night.
• Establish a dedicated study time in the evening.
• Encourage daily attendance in class.
• Start the day with a healthy breakfast.

Schedule

• Monday: No School
• Tuesday & Wednesday: Finals in Odd Classes
• Thursday & Friday: Finals in Even Classes

Looking Ahead to Second Semester

• Verify Schedules: Log onto StudentVue/ParentVue to check course schedules. If there are any issues, please contact the school counselors.
• Communicate with Teachers: Reach out to teachers to learn about any supplies needed for the new semester.
• Fees & Fines: Students will receive a notification with their report cards regarding any outstanding fees or fines.
