Taft Students and Families,

The school counseling team is starting a new group opportunity.  This group is offered based on students’ responses to a needs survey that was administered.  This is specifically a problem solving and skills group focused on current struggles and the daily stress students are feeling.

  • Developing Social-Emotional Skills for High School Students: Academic Success
  • Improved focus and study habits through self-regulation and goal-setting skills.
  • Building empathy and respect for others to foster meaningful connections. Developing conflict-resolution strategies for healthier interactions.
  • Decision Making – Encouraging self-reflection to help students make thoughtful and ethical choices in their daily lives
  • Mental Health – Building resilience and stress-management techniques to handle academic and personal pressures. Promoting self-awareness and seeking support when needed.
  • Career Readiness – Developing clear communication and teamwork skills to succeed in school projects, extracurriculars, and future workplaces.
