Taft Students and Families,
The school counseling team is starting a new group opportunity. This group is offered based on students’ responses to a needs survey that was administered. This is specifically a problem solving and skills group focused on current struggles and the daily stress students are feeling.
- Developing Social-Emotional Skills for High School Students: Academic Success
- Improved focus and study habits through self-regulation and goal-setting skills.
- Building empathy and respect for others to foster meaningful connections. Developing conflict-resolution strategies for healthier interactions.
- Decision Making – Encouraging self-reflection to help students make thoughtful and ethical choices in their daily lives
- Mental Health – Building resilience and stress-management techniques to handle academic and personal pressures. Promoting self-awareness and seeking support when needed.
- Career Readiness – Developing clear communication and teamwork skills to succeed in school projects, extracurriculars, and future workplaces.
