Taft 7-12 is hosting a showing of the Film “Screenagers: Growing up in the digital age”
Who in invited: Community members, parents, grandparents, students.
What: “Screenagers: Growing up in the digital age” is a 67-minute documentary-style film addressing how tech time impacts kids’ development and how to empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance. A panel discussion will follow to help participants process the information provided in the film.
When: Wednesday, Oct. 24, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Taft High School, Community Room
Why: To address the increasing use of digital devices by youth and the potential impact on their development.
After the film we will have a panel of professionals to help facilitate the discussion around how personal devices affect students school lives.
Other details:
- Panel members will consist of: school counselors, therapists, School Resource Officer, youth peer
- No cost to attend
- Seating is first come first served
- Samaritan Health Services is the sponsoring partner
- Other partners include: Center for Collaborative Health, Lincoln County Behavioral Health Services
