Parents,
Student voice is a powerful tool for creating positive change, and we want students to know that their experiences matter.
We need your support!! Parents we want you to encourage your student to have a voice. All students have access to a student survey where they can provide their story and voice. Please, encourage your student to share their experiences.
At Taft 7–12, we believe that strong schools are built on belonging, respect, kindness, and meaningful relationships. Throughout April, students participated in our Tigers Stronger Together lessons focused on topics such as belonging, kindness, empathy, looking out for one another, and the Power of Language.
As part of our continued work, we are creating opportunities for students to share their voices and experiences. Students have been invited to submit stories, reflections, and experiences related to racism, microaggressions, and school culture. These student stories will help guide a student-created podcast and documentary project focused on understanding experiences, promoting empathy, and strengthening our school community.
Parents, we wanted to share this work with you so you are aware of the conversations and learning taking place at school. We appreciate your continued support as we work together to create a school culture where all students feel seen, valued, respected, and heard.
Tigers Stronger Together
Everyone belongs. Kindness matters. Our words and actions shape our school.
